The movie is here and it’s everything you didn’t expect! Venom: The Last Dance is the third (and supposedly last) movie in the sequel that takes you on a wild ride of chaos. You may love it or you may hate it. There’s nothing in between.
The critics are rolling their eyes and the movie isn’t doing well – it has a very low rate of 37% on Rotten Tomatoes. But let’s be honest: people love venom and despite what the critics have to say, the audience keeps showing up.
Venom: The Last Dance Story
Back to the story! The movie starts with Venom and Eddie on a run in Mexico, trying to reach New York City. But they end up in the Nevada desert. They are lost as they cross paths with Dr. Teddy Payne and General Rex Strickland who run a secret lab. The lab is in use to study symbiotes next to Area 51. They’re both out to capture Venom and Eddie, but they have different motives. One wants to study him, and the other wants him gone for good.
So, now, they are being hunted and as if that weren’t enough, Knull (the big bad symbiote creator) also joins the chase. Knull’s reason? Eddie and Venom have the key to his freedom although, they both have no idea why or how.
As Venom tries to dodge capture, he keeps morphing into varying versions like “Horse Venom” or “Fish Venom.” The creatures hunting them are called Xenophages whose mouths work like mini wood chippers! To find a way out, someone, Eddie or Venom, has to go down but it appears that the movie first wants to drive attention to quirky distractions.
There is also the entrance of a mysterious figure in a control room but guess what? That never gets explained, either. Throughout the movie, there are strange, funny and blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments. In short, Venom: The Last Dance is here for a totally explosive farewell.
