Camila Mendes has officially wrapped filming for’ Riverdale’, which kickstarted in 2017. To celebrate the occasion Camila Mendes who played the role of Veronica Lodge in the show has penned an emotional note on social media featuring some pics of behind-the-scenes moments with her co-stars.
The 28-year-old captioned the images on her Instagram, “That’s a wrap on Veronica and further added that there’s no caption or photo dumb that can illustrate what an emotional experience it is been filming our last episode of ‘Riverdale’.”
The actor added I am not saying goodbye to a TV show, I am saying goodbye to an entire life I created in Vancouver, to a transformative period of time that shaped me as an adult, to a community of people who have seen the best and worst of me over the course of seven intense seasons. It does not matter how ready you are to move on, goodbyes are painful and walking away from this show will be a process of mourning for all of us.”
Camila Mendes extended thanks to the fans of the show for supporting her on this journey with all the presents, balloons, flowers, etc and further said that she has endless acknowledgement for them. Mendis extended her gratitude by appreciating her crew members, co-stars and showrunner for all the memories over the years. She further thanked them for core memories made during the show and said that she would miss victories and debacles, the highs and lows of making network television with them.
Camila Mendes Gets a Tattoo in Honor of Her ‘Riverdale’ Character
To celebrate the occasion Camila Mendes got a tattoo of her pearl birthstone which is Vernoica’s birthstone too. “New tat to celebrate the end of an era, “ she captioned the white and black image and posted it on Instagram.” Mendes featured as Veronica since the CW show started in 2017, based on Archie Comics.
It originally laid emphasis on the characters of high school probing the mysterious murders of Jason Blossom. As the show continued it played everything from serial killers to superpowers. The final season focuses on the characters being trapped in the 50s with no memories of the events of the past seasons.
Other stars also bid adieu as filming on the ‘Riverdale’ wraps. Reinhart shared an Instagram post featuring snaps with her co-stars and glimpses of the behind-the-scenes lives while Apa posted a selfie of him and one with Reinhart.
