With just 10 days remaining until the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, the ICC has unveiled the tournament’s official event song, “Whatever It Takes.” The upbeat track is a collaboration featuring the all-girl pop group W.i.S.H., renowned music director Mikey McCleary, and composer Parth Parekh, produced by Bay Music House. The song is now available for download on all major streaming platforms.
The 1:40-minute video accompanying the song showcases a blend of iconic highlights from past Women’s T20 World Cup tournaments, set against the backdrop of W.i.S.H’s choreography, which captures the energy and excitement surrounding the event.
Set to begin on 3 October, the 17-day tournament will feature 10 teams competing across 23 matches, hosted in the UAE at Dubai and Sharjah.

The members of W.i.S.H. also expressed their excitement about being part of the event. “We’re incredibly proud to create the official song for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup as an all-girl group. Cricket unites people across the world, and it’s an honor to contribute to such a special occasion,” they shared.
“As huge fans of Jemimah Rodrigues and Smriti Mandhana, we can’t wait to see them, and players from all the teams, do the hook step from the music video on the world stage,” the group added.
The release of the official event song marks the beginning of what promises to be an exciting tournament, further fueling the anticipation as the world gears up for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024.
