Priscilla Movie Trailer
A minute and a half of the clip gives us an idea of what to expect: it shows Pricilla, a young schoolgirl (she was 14 and he was 24 when they met in 1959), talking to Elvis for the first time, her father worrying, Elvis pushing her to dye her hair and wear more makeup, and everything that happens after.
The wife of the King of rock and roll is heard stating in the video that Elvis is not someone you can imagine. She then questions Elvis about the accusations that he is straying, and we see the challenging reaction she receives. She states that she wants a life of her own as the trailer ends.
One of the most contentious issues in the rock star’s personal life is his relationship with Priscilla. The story of Priscilla Presley’s meeting with Elvis, her marriage to him, and the events that ultimately led to their breakup and divorce serve as the basis for the film Priscilla. The book was adapted by Larry Peerce into the same-titled Made For TV film.
Even though she was just fourteen when she met Elvis, pop culture treats their romance as a contemporary fairy tale, and their intense love for one another is a frequently recounted story. According to Coppola, the main focus of her movie will be Priscilla Presley, with very little emphasis on Elvis Presley’s professional career and him practically being a supporting role.
