Mumbai Indians Women have seen their campaign stall recently after losing back-to-back games, but they still find themselves second on the points table with two wins from five matches. Despite the recent setbacks, they remain a strong unit and will be eager to return to winning ways.
Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals Women are in a more difficult position, having lost three of their four matches so far and sitting at the bottom of the points table. They too come into this game after a defeat in their previous outing and will be desperate for a turnaround. With both sides coming off losses, a closely contested encounter is expected.
Nat Sciver-Brunt has been outstanding across departments, scoring 154 runs and picking up 7 wickets so far, making her the top choice for the captaincy role. Nicola Carey has also delivered strong all-round performances, contributing 137 runs and taking 7 wickets, which makes her a reliable option for vice-captaincy in this match.
