Ramayana advance booking opens on Dussehra, following a grand Ramayana pre-release event in Hyderabad that drew massive crowds. Namit Malhotra’s two-part epic, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, is Indian cinema’s biggest release of the year, with the Ramayana release date set for November 5, 2026.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Part two will follow on Diwali 2027.

Ramayana World Premiere at Academy Museum, Los Angeles

Before it reaches Indian theatres, Ramayana will travel to Hollywood. Producer Namit Malhotra confirmed the film will have its world premiere at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles on October 27.

It is a huge moment for Indian cinema. Few Indian films have premiered at such a prestigious global venue, and the team clearly sees Ramayana as a film made for audiences around the world.

Yash’s Speech at Ramayana Hyderabad Pre-Release Event

The biggest talking point from the Hyderabad event was Yash’s emotional speech. The KGF star asked audiences not to hunt for small mistakes in the VFX and to watch the film with an open mind.

This chance won’t come again,” he said, adding that Indian cinema could go backwards if it fails to support ambitious filmmakers like Malhotra. Yash praised the producer for always accepting criticism and working hard to improve.

He then made a direct appeal to fans of the Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi film industries. If they like the film, he urged them to come together and show the world what Indian cinema can do.

Ramayana Music by Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman, VFX by DNEG

Ramayana is backed by Prime Focus Studios, with visual effects by DNEG, the Oscar-winning studio behind several Hollywood blockbusters. The music brings together two giants, Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman.

With a pan-India cast, global talent behind the camera and a Hollywood premiere, expectations could not be higher. The Ramayana advance booking numbers over the next few days will show just how big the film’s opening could be.
