Match Preview

Delhi Capitals Women face a crucial encounter, as a win here could see them progress to the Eliminator and, in the process, end Mumbai Indians Women’s campaign. Their qualification hopes rest entirely on this result, making it a must win fixture for the side.

UP Warriorz Women, meanwhile, have nothing at stake in terms of qualification, but they will be keen to sign off their campaign on a positive note. Even a victory in this match will not be enough to push them into the top three. They currently sit at the bottom of the points table, while Delhi Capitals are placed fourth with three wins from seven matches.

Meg Lanning stands out as the top choice for the captaincy role after scoring 248 runs so far, and with a high pressure game on the line, she could prove to be a decisive performer. Lizelle Lee, who has accumulated 230 runs in the tournament and brings vast experience at the top of the order, shapes up as the leading option for the vice captaincy role.
