Match Preview

Hobart Hurricanes became the first team to qualify for the playoffs after registering six wins from nine matches and currently sit at the top of the points table. Their previous game was abandoned due to rain, but prior to that they were riding a two-match winning streak.

Meanwhile, Brisbane Heat have had a mixed campaign so far, winning four and losing four of their eight matches. They are placed fifth on the points table and come into this contest on the back of a convincing seven-wicket win over Sydney Thunder, which should boost their confidence.

Jack Wildermuth has been impressive with his all-round performances, scoring 215 runs and picking up 9 wickets so far in the tournament, making him the top choice for the captaincy role. Matt Renshaw, who has been in excellent form with the bat and has amassed 287 runs, stands out as a strong option for vice-captaincy in this game.
