Match Preview
England have started the T20 series on a strong note after dominating the ODI leg. Sam Curran was the star of the opening match, taking a hat trick as England restricted Sri Lanka to just 133 runs. England then chased the target comfortably in the 15th over, losing only four wickets, with Phil Salt top scoring with 46 runs.
Sri Lanka will need a much improved plan if they are to level the series, especially after already losing the ODI series on this tour.
Sam Curran remains the top choice for the captaincy role after picking up three wickets in the first game and also contributing with the bat. Wanindu Hasaranga, with his experience and impact in this format, stands out as the leading option for the vice captaincy role.
