Match Preview
Pakistan started the T20I series in a strong manner, winning the first match by six wickets. Their bowlers did a good job early and restricted Sri Lanka to just 128 runs. Janith Liyanage was the only bright spot for Sri Lanka with a 40-run knock, while the rest of the batters failed to settle at the crease.
While chasing, Pakistan made the task easy. Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub gave a solid opening stand of 59 runs, and the team chased down the target comfortably in 16.4 overs.
Pakistan will now look to continue the same performance and clinch the series, while Sri Lanka will need a much better showing if they are to level the series.
Shadab Khan, who started the series well with his all-round performance, is the top choice for the captaincy role. Wanindu Hasaranga is also a good pick for vice-captaincy, given his experience in this format and familiarity with home conditions, despite having an average outing in the first game.
